The Art of Drama and Speech to Leadership program, in collaboration with The Gallo Center for the Arts and Modesto City Schools, aims to foster leadership skills among young individuals through theater. By providing classes that offer insights into the world of theater and granting students the chance to attend plays and shows, the program offers a holistic learning experience.
For those interested in participating, the program provides classes during the fall, spring, and summer seasons at the King Kennedy Memorial Center. The classes are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. This regular schedule allows students to engage in the program without conflicting with their other commitments.
The creative aspects of drama offers a unique and enriching opportunity for young individuals to explore their potential and grow both personally and professionally.

Our fall session will focus on SCENE ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE. This course dives deep into plays as we learn about themes, characters, relationships, objectives, and historical context. Not only is this beneficial to those who have experience in this topic, but students who are taking it for the first time are sure to enjoy it as well.
Whether you are interested in acting, prop design, costume design or just the psyche of a character, this topic will continue to create a foundation for all of the above. We hope to see you there!
