Outreach & Advocacy Programs

Funded by The California Endowment, this citizen-led council seeks to address health and safety inequities in West Modesto through proactive engagement with city and county-led forums and procedures. 

Every month we have guest such as city representatives, county representatives, and community advocates, that provide the community with more of an insight to socio-economic issues that impact the community. 

West Modesto's People of Action Council is a neighborhood advocacy group tackles a range of topics aimed at promoting wellness and civic engagement. Any/all residents and business owners in West Modesto are encouraged to attend!

Schedule: Meetings are held in person on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at WMCC.

Promotores are those who bring information about our resources to the community. This community outreach program raises awareness of resources to support health and basic household needs. These essential volunteers receive a monthly stipend for their field-based outreach throughout Modesto, connecting community members with any/all services offered by WMCC.
